New WOW Tour

As local Waiheke residents with a passion for the island's produce and venues, they have personally curated a five-stop tour that showcases the wide range of world-class offerings right here on the doorstep.

With Joe as the host and driver, guests are transported across the island in the comfort of a luxury air-conditioned vehicle. As they wish to keep the experience intimate and personal, they ensure a maximum of eleven guests per tour.

Let them guide you away from the ‘norm’ to share what Waiheke Island is to them—a truly authentic and unforgettable experience, just a little bit off the usual beaten track.

WOW'Heke Tour Itinerary

10:00am
Upon arrival to Waiheke Island, they greet you at the Matiatia Ferry Terminal. From there, you sit back in comfort and marvel at the stunning beaches and breathtaking views across the motu.

10:15am
They begin the day tasting world-class extra-virgin olive oil at the beautiful, newly opened ‘Allpress Olive Groves’. Learn about how the olives are grown, farmed, and milled right here on Waiheke. Then they taste the single varietals and blends that capture the island in every bottle.

11:15am
They next arrive at Waiheke Distilling Co., which boasts some of the most stunning panoramic views on the island. In the setting of the beautiful garden bar and woolshed, they taste handcrafted boutique gin or botanical vodka served tasting-board style with premium mixers, ice, and garnishes. To accompany, they enjoy gourmet bruschetta cooked up by resident chef extraordinaire Alberto. They believe a trip to Waiheke Distilling Co. is a true gem of the island!

12:30pm
The next stop is one of their newest favourites—Jasper Ridge Estate. Real Review named their 2024 rosé the #1 rosé in New Zealand! Among the stunning vines, they expertly guide you through their world-class wine range and styles, and maybe even some curated guest wines if available.

1:30pm
A short drive through tranquil countryside takes the group to the breathtaking Te Motu Estate. Overlooking Onetangi Valley and surrounded by sweeping hills and picturesque vines, you feel transported to another world. Here they taste the range of complex Bordeaux-style wines. An absolute must for all who visit Waiheke.

2:25pm
A short drive takes everyone to gorgeous Onetangi Beach, the location of the hosted lunch at the stunning Three Seven Two restaurant. They thought long and hard about sharing their ‘local’ with you, but how could they not?! Multi-award-winning food with a truly glorious beachside view! They enjoy shared breads and olive oil, then a main course of your choice accompanied by a complimentary wine, beer, cider, or soft drink from the extensive menu. Oh, and if available on the day, why not add on some world-famous Te Matuku oysters?! After lunch, they can enjoy a stroll on the golden sands of Onetangi Beach, grabbing some pics and enjoying the wondrous South Pacific sea air!

3:45pm
They depart Onetangi and head to Matiatia for the ferry back to Auckland city… however, they may sneak in a little stop at one of the ‘locals’ favourite lookouts… giving you a full panoramic view of the island, its coastline, and cityscape! What a way to finish the day!

Recommended Ferry Timings:

• Outbound: Depart Auckland on the 9:15 AM sailing to Waiheke Island (Matiatia).

• Return: Depart Waiheke Island on the 4:20 PM sailing back to Auckland.
