This privacy policy explains how we collect and use your personal information.  “We”, “us”, “our” in this policy means Island Direct 2023 Limited Partnership.  “You” and “your” means you as a user of this website, and a person who has purchased a ticket for an Island Direct service or who has otherwise provided personal information to us. 

We may update this privacy policy from time to time and will post the updated policy on this website.  The updated policy will apply to any personal information you provide to us after the date of the update.

Personal information we collect

We will collect the following types of personal information:

  • your name, and contact details that you provide to us when purchasing a ticket, registering for an account or which you may otherwise provide us when you interact with us (e.g.  to subscribe for updates or to report a problem);
  • details of any transactions you make through this website, including ticket purchase information.  We do not collect or have access to any payment information, such information is managed by our third party payment gateway provider;  
  • information collected through your use of the website, including your IP address, and cookies (see further detail on cookies below).  

How we use personal information 

We use personal information collected to:

  • provide you with access to, and use of this website and the Island Direct services, including issuing tickets, issuing refunds, fulfilling any other orders made and notifying you of relevant information as required;
  • enhancing your experience of this website; and
  • provide you with information about Island Direct and to contact you with promotional material, from Island Direct and from our trusted partners, from time to time.

We may share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes, where you have provided your consent to us sharing your information for this purpose.   We may also provide your personal information to our service providers who help us deliver Island Direct services and information.  We may share your personal information with any third party purchaser, or potential purchaser (and/or their advisers), of all or part of the Island Direct business.  

We may disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 or as otherwise required by law.

Cookies are information stored by your internet browser, and we use cookies to track visitors to our website.  You can change your browser settings to prevent cookies being accepted.

We store your information securely.  However, we cannot guarantee the security of personal information transmitted to our site by you, given the inherently insecure nature of the internet.
